The pups are now 5 weeks old and are enjoying their solid food, as well as still getting an occasional bit of milk from Mum. They are all doing well on their solid food which at the moment is biscuits mixed with meat. I like to start them off on soft meat, progressing onto small puppy biscuits for when they are fully weaned.

Puppies are enjoying lots of cuddles with us on the grass and have even been playing with toys. They look so cute and funny running around with toys in their mouth that are far too big and often trip up! They always shake off and get back up again though and this all contributes to building their confidence ready for when they are older.

We like our puppies to be strong and confident and always try to make sure they are all involved in the fun and games.

The puppies are also beginning to venture around the garden, following scents about and investigating corners and items like leaves and odd looking bits and bobs that they find curious and interesting. Again, this makes for a confident and inquisitive puppy which is lovely to see.
